Facials
Facials have many benefits; they can rejuvenate the skin, wake up a sluggish circulation and reduce puffiness. It involves the deep cleansing and relaxation of the face and neck area. You will be asked some questions relating to your skin before the facial begins to determine which products will be used. All products used in our facials are organic. They contain the minimum amount of ingredients to enable them to do the job they are designed to do. They are paraben and petrochemical free.
The face and neck are cleansed and exfoliated before a deeply relaxing massage of the face, neck, décolleté and shoulders is performed. A mask is then applied to cleanse deep into the pores. After the mask is removed the skin is toned. To finish, a light moisuriser is applied.
Waxing
Hair removal using the hygienic and efficient Hive roller wax system. Cream waxes containing the soothing properties of tea tree and lavender are used to reduce discomfort and minimise reaction.
Spray Tanning
Our spray tanning is Sienna X which is one of the most popular fake tan products on the market. You will have seen the product on the stars of Gladiators and Strictly Come Dancing.
Sienna X has a gorgeous coconut smell and provides a lovely, long lasting colour. Unlike other products on the market that leave you looking grubby immediately after application, Sienna X looks so natural that if you need to run a few errands after your tan, you can do so without attracting strange looks! Our representative will bring a pop up spray tan tent to ensure overspray is contained and your flooring and furnishings are protected.
Prior to your tanning, there are some things you need to do to ensure you get the best tan possible. Firstly, shower, exfoliate and moisturise the night before. Pay particular attention to dry areas e.g. elbows, knees and tops of feet. Also, any waxing/shaving must be done 24 hours before tanning. Secondly, paint your finger and toe nails with clear polish to ensure no tan is absorbed by them. This is particularly important if you wear enhancements. On the day, do not wear any make up, perfume or deodorant as this can inhibit the tanning solution and may result in patchy tanning or discolouration.
Everything will be provided for your treatment - hair protectors, barrier cream, and G strings. If you prefer, you can wear your own underwear however it will absorb solution therefore, dark colours are recommended. The treatment itself is very quick and will be complete in 10-15 minutes. For best results it is recommended that you wear loose clothing after your tan and leave it to develop for at least 8 hours - overnight if possible. When you do shower you will notice a lot of colour coming off - don’t be alarmed, this is just the guide colour being removed. Do not scrub your skin either when showering or when drying and don’t forget to moisturise your skin well. Full aftercare information will be provided to help you maintain your tan.
Products are available for you to purchase if you choose. The face and hands are the first places to begin to fade due to the exposure they have to cleansers etc. Tan in a can has been developed for topping up face and hands. For the body, sachets of Tan extender "Make it moist, make it last" are available which contains a small amount of DHA's - Dihydroacetates (the ingredient which causes your skin to react) which will prolong the life of your tan when used as instructed. These are also available to purchase in 250ml easy grip bottle. In addition to the above we have sachets of Exfoliator "Scrub it up, scrub it off" which can be used either at the end of your tan to remove final traces of product or use the night before your next spray tan to ensure optimum results. Although these products are highly recommended, you are under no obligation to purchase them.
Sienna X spray tans are excellent for girlie pamper nights to get you ready for the weekend or ensure you go on holiday already sporting a gorgeous tan. Invite the girls round, open a bottle of wine and let our therapist spray you gorgeous! As the hostess, you will receive a goodie bag worth £10. If one of your friends books a tanning party on the night, you will be given £5 off your next tan.
Eye Treatments
We offer eyelash & eyebrow tinting and perming using Salon Systems products. Both treatments produce dramatic results and can be carried out together or individually in under an hour.
Tinting is the permanent dying of the eyelashes and/or eyebrows. Although the dye is permanent, the life span of each individual eyelash is approx. 4 weeks, after this the eyelash will drop out and a new one will grow in its place, thus every 4/5 weeks the treatment will need to be carried out again. The process involves the eyelashes / eyebrows being cleansed. The tint is then applied and left for 10-15 minutes to develop.
Perming involves the eyelashes being adhered to a mini roller just above the lash line. Perming gel is applied to the lashes for approximately 15 minutes before a developing lotion is applied and left for another 10 minutes. The rollers are removed and eyelashes cleansed and you are left with a dramatic eye opening look.
Patch Testing
Please note that a patch test is required 24 hours prior to the above treatment being carried out. This is for your safety and is to ensure you will not have an allergic reaction to the product. As part of your consultation at your first appointment you will be offered this patch test free, even if you do not intend getting a tint at that time. If you do not have any reaction to the test you will be able to have a tint at a later date without the need for a 24 hour delay.
Luxury Manicure
This treatment will cleanse, hydrate, firm and moisturise hands, reducing visible signs of ageing. It will restore and protect the skin against damaging environmental effects. Includes filing, cuticle work, soak, exfoliation, moisturiser applied and heated mitts put on, hand and arm massage and colour polish.
Luxury Pedicure
This treatment will cleanse, soften and soothe hard working feet. Includes filing, cuticle work, soak, exfoliation and callus treatment, moisturiser applied and heated booties put on, foot and lower leg massage and colour polish.
